Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s ‘The Wash’ film being turned into TV series

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “The Wash” movie receives TV series reboot!

“It all comes out in ‘The Wash,’” DJ Pooh, the film’s writer and director, tweeted on Friday (March 3, 2023). The 53-year-old producer, who has recently stared in GTA Online: The Contract with Dr. Dre, promoted the forthcoming series on social media with a photo of an orange bucket and car freshener that both had The Wash logo stamped on them.

Few months ago, DJ Pooh posted a picture from original movie with the caption: “Mr Washington, Face & Slim – #TheWash. The Wash Series Coming Soon!” The release date for the television series is yet to be announced.

“The Wash” film was originally released back in 2001 and told the story of Sean (Dr. Dre) and Dee Loc (Snoop Dogg) working as car wash employees looking to make enough money so they can avoid being evicted. The film featured a star-studded cameos from Eminem, Xzibit, Ludacris, Shaquille O’Neal, Kurupt, George Wallace and DJ Pooh himself. A few of the movie’s actors contributed to its original soundtrack album along with Busta Rhymes, D12 and Bubba Sparxxx.

Though it is unclear if “The Wash” TV series will premiere in 2023, Snoop and Dre have recently confirmed that their joint album Missionary will be coming out this year. The mega project is set to be released this summer.

50 Cent teases GTA TV series, will Eminem jump in?

50 Cent is teasing Grand Theft Auto collaboration on Instagram! In his latest cryptic post, Fiddy shared a classic “Vice City” logo with the caption: “I will Explain this later, GLG, GreenLightGang this s–t bigger than POWER trust me. BOOM.”

If 50 Cent is making GTA Vice City TV Series, will Eminem get involved? The two hip-hop titans have most recently collaborated on Episode 7 of BMF, aired on Starz, which is directed by 50 Cent himself and Em makes a cameo as a White Boy Rick.

Late in 2021, six new Dr. Dre songs appeared on Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto expansion GTA Online: The Contract. Among them were “Gospel,” featuring Eminem and The DOC.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a 2002 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the fourth main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 2001’s Grand Theft Auto III, and the sixth instalment overall.

Set in 1986 within the fictional Vice City (based on Miami and Miami Beach), the single-player story follows mobster Tommy Vercetti’s rise to power after being released from prison and becoming caught up in an ambushed drug deal. While seeking out those responsible, he slowly builds a criminal empire by seizing power from other criminal organisations in the city.

Back in 2015, 50 Cent revealed that Eminem once turned down an $8 million movie offer because the script was not gritty enough. Maybe it’s time for the two to team up for something huge that is called “GTA: Vice City” TV show.

Earlier this year, Fiddy spoke with Big Boy where he revealed his plans to make 8 Mile TV series: “I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television. And Em knows it. It’s gonna be big. I’m working on it. I ain’t got no does. I’m betting one hundred. It should be there for his legacy. It’s important to me that they understand it. It’s a modern version of Em, think about Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. Like a modern version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I wanna be able to show and offer a lot more details. I’mma do Snoop Dogg story too.” said 50 Cent

50 Cent reveals he’s working on “8 Mile” TV series with Eminem involved

Couple of days ago, TMZ caught up with the “8 Mile” star Mekhi Phifer where the Hollywood star turned down the possibility of Eminem shooting “8 Mile 2” movie but it seems 50 Cent is already working on the 8 Mile TV Series about Eminem’s legendary career.

“Second part? Sometimes it’s best to leave at one. Sometimes it’s best to leave it alone, once you make a classic, there is no reason to fool around with it. There has not been any conversations about it and it might never happen. Leave the classic alone and it will all be good. Just live with the 8 Mile. It might be interesting what happened next but the story that we told it was all good. I would not be in it. I’m sure Eminem would be in it either.” said Mekhi Phifer.

Today 50 Cent dropped by the neighborhood to speak with Big Boy about Black Mafia Family Season 2, touring 36 countries, and surpassing 1.8 billion views in 2022. He also discusses his Super Bowl performance with Dr. Dre and Eminem, his First Pitch for the Mets, and his hit song “In Da Club.” Plus, 50 Cent revealed Eminem turned down $9 million offer to perform at the FIFA World Cup 2022. He also revealed his plans to create an “8 Mile” TV show.

“I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television. I’mma do Snoop Dogg story too.” said 50 Cent during the 40-minutes interview.

50 Cent to produce investigative TV series “Hip-Hop Homicides”

After finding success with Power TV series, 50 Cent moved on to Black Mafia Family and has now started working on Hip Hop Homicides.

Fifty has teamed up with Love And Hip Hop creator Mona Scott-Young and former TMZ co-host Van Lathan to produce the non-scripted series for WEtv, according to Deadline.

From Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., the show will explore the numerous unsolved murders in the Hip Hop community in an attempt to uncover details of what really happened.

The hip-hop mogul shared the news on his social media account with the caption: “Heat on the way WE tv, HIPHOP HOMICIDES GLG.”

In recently released statement, 50 Cent said: “G-Unit Film and Television has thrived by telling real stories. As I continue to grow my current slate, premium non-scripted programming will be a major focus. Hip Hop loves things that are damaged. This series will shed light on the artists that did not make it through the struggle.”

“50 and I created this show in response to the disturbing number of murders in Hip Hop. With this boots-on-the-ground investigative series, we will look to closely examine and explore leads surrounding these cases with the hope of finally providing loved ones with answers.” – Scott-Young added.

BREAKING: Eminem to play ‘White Boy Rick’ in 50 Cent’s “Black Mafia Family” TV series

Detroit legend Eminem will play Richard Wershe Jr., known as “White Boy Rick,” in 50 Cent’s upcoming Starz drama TV Series, based in Detroit.

The show, ‘BMF,” (Black Mafia Family) is based on the story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who came from Detroit and led one of the most influential crime families in the United States in the 1980s.

BREAKING: 50 Cent & Kid Cudi team up for new TV show

It looks like 50 Cent and Kid Cudi are teaming up for a new TV series. Yesterday, Kid Cudi sent out a tweet to his fans to give them update on the big things that have been planned with Fifty. The Cleveland multi-talented rapper does not gave much info away but he seemed genuinely excited to share the news.

“Had a call with 50 Cent last week about cooking up a show together. Big things happening! I will keep you posted. 50 Cent is one of my favorite emcees and he is also a really great guy with a good heart.” said Cudi in his tweet.

50 Cent’s knack for creating addictive series over the years has clearly paid off. After “Power” TV series blew up and inspired highly-anticipated spin-offs for the STARZ Network, Fiddy moved on to create another TV series for ABC, titled “For Life.”

Back in September 2020, the G-Unit front-man also revealed that he is creating two new series for STARZ which will focus on the 12-year relationship he had with his blood enemy, The Game.
