Shaquille O’Neal & Nischelle Turner react to Melle Mel’s comments about Eminem

On his latest episode of Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal addresses the burning issues in the world of sports and entertainment, along with his co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams. During a new segment of the show, the NBA icon brought up a rather contentious topic, “Did you hear what Chaka Khan said about all those singers?”

The Big Aristotle was referring to singer Chaka Khan’s insulting comments at the expense of artists like legendary Mary J. Blige and Adele, among others. The lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus was ranked 29th on the list while Mary J. Blige was in the 25th position. The hosts of the podcast revealed that they were shocked by Khan’s comments. Turner said, “She [Khan] said Mary J Blige was flat singing her version of sweet love. She went in. She is apologizing now!”

“She went there, she went there,” Shaq exclaimed. Without directly making any comment, Shaq brought up legendary rapper Melle Mel’s comments on Eminem: “Did you hear what Melle Mel said about Eminem? [He] said Eminem’s only a top 5 rapper because he’s white.” Shaq ironically smiled and with that statement he implied that Khan’s comments were clearly prompted from a place of envy, rather than being any kind of constructive criticism. Nischelle Turner was quick to reply: “Oh stop! He’s got flow! Eminem’s got the flow, don’t do that to him.”

The crew later talked about GloRilla’s concert in New York where two people die after crowd crush. Shaq drew parallel to Dr. Dre’s Up In Smoke tour: “I’ve seen crowds with half million people. How you gonna prevent that? I remember going to the Up In Smoke tour, I came from the backstage and when I looked up had to be 500 thousand people. And when Eminem came out and Snoop came out, the crowd goes crazy, everybody’s jamming I don’t know how you prevent that.”

Jamal Crawford: “Jay-Z’s effect on rap is bigger than any albums sales Eminem will ever have”

In the latest episode of TNT Tuesday Night show, Jamal Crawford, Shaquille O’Neal and Spice Adams spoke about LeBron James’ marching towards breaking record hold by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, dicey situation of Golden State Warriors in the league and the NBA world as a whole.

During one segment of the episode, Crawford asked Turner to name her top five players of all time. Following her response, Shaq and Crawford weighed in with their choices. This resulted in a debate that silenced the Big Aristotle.

Both Crawford and Turner named Shaq as one of their top five, but both did not name him in the top two category. When Turner emphasized her choices, Shaq thanked her for thinking of him and replied: “Thank you for thinking of me but there is no need to waste your energy.”

Basketball is undoubtedly a game of numbers. However, Crawford believes that the dominance and influence of a player on the game weigh more than any number or stat. He explained this by drawing a parallel with the rap game. Jamal Crawford said: “ The dominance outweighs the numbers…Like, Jay-Z’s effect on hip hop is bigger than any album sales that Eminem will have. That’s how it goes.”

Shaq gave a nod by saying: “That’s a good point.”

Shaquille O’Neal warns “Eminem” of dire consequences

During the recent episode of The Big Podcast, legendary Shaquille O’Neal had a completely different energy. The Los Angeles Lakers legend seemed to be in a mood of destroying everything that came in his sight. Shaq made a jaw-dropping move while trying to prove his point and he actually warned ‘Eminem’ and ‘Kanye East’ of dire consequences.

The 4-time NBA champion and his crew discussed various issues including Patrick Beverley & Deandre Ayton’s scuffle during the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. O’Neal also gave his take on Ruby Gobbert’s supportive comments toward his team Minnesota Timberwolves as well. However, the most hilarious moment of the episode was Shaquille O’Neal going all crazy just to prove a point.

During the interview, the Big Diesel went into beast mode and claimed that he did not want to sit in his chair anymore. Just to prove his point, Shaq broke the massive thronelike chair he was sitting on, leaving Tuner and Spice Adams laughing hysterically. Eventually, the chair could not take Shaq’s power and collapsed completely. The Big Diesel proclaimed that he would sit in the tilted chair the whole episode.

However, the 15-time All-Star took the banter to a completely different level by firing shots at ‘Kanye East’ and ‘Slim Shady’. After Shaq, Spice Adams also tried to continue the banter by pretending to break his chair. Hilariously, the NFL veteran ended up actually breaking the chair leaving Shaq and Turner laughing their hearts out.

The whole fiasco led to a fiery comment from the Lakers legend. Shaquille O’Neal proclaimed emphatically, “If my chair ain’t like this next week when I’m coming. I’m gonna tear this whole goddamn studio up. Do not touch my chair. I’m telling you now Kenny Rogers, Kanye East, Slim Shady, ZZ Top in the back.”

Where this names come from? Shaq had actually renamed his crew members by the names of some iconic rappers like Kanye West, Eminem, and singer Kenny Rogers based on rough similarities in their appearances. And now it has turned into a running inside joke.

Shaquille O’Neal on Ernie Johnson rapping on Inside The NBA: “Eminem and MGK we’re coming after y’all.”

Last night’s episode of Inside the NBA saw a little more than NBA playoff action as sportscaster Ernie Johnson took over the show to spit bars as he rapped lyrics from the critically-acclaimed musical ‘Hamilton.’

Going in on the track titled “Guns & Ships,” Johnson displayed his verbal and rapping mastery as he went bar for bar with the track at its original tempo.

Ernie Johnson’s performance had the Inside crew in amazement as Shaquille O’Neal to it reacted by saying:

“Sitting next to Eminem’s father. Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly, we are coming after you all. We got a mixtape coming out.”
