Angry Nicki Minaj shows love to Eminem following NFL & JAY-Z snubbing Lil Wayne over Kendrick Lamar

Couple of days ago, Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show headliner (Sunday, September 8, 2024), and part of the hip-hop world spoke up about Lil Wayne being overlooked with the 2025 big game being in his hometown of New Orleans.

Considering the year K. Dot has had with the massive success of his Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” the decision wasn’t necessarily a surprising one. However, according to some hip-hop artists, Weezy should have been chosen to headline the show—especially since it’s in Wayne’s hometown.

Wayne’s longtime collaborator Nicki Minaj has also expressed her disappointment in NFL and lashed out on JAY-Z (who is adviser on selecting artists for major NFL performances) on X (formerly twitter. She also showed love to Eminem for not doing 2022 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show without 50 Cent: “Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. S–t sad. House NI-GER TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty ? Welp. then ni-gaz will keep son’ing you!!!!! #DTLR #GagCityDC LMFAOOOOOOOOOO GOODAZ FI DEL GAL U AH GOODAZ FI DEM.” she tweeted.

Nicki appreciates the fact that a white man (Eminem) is helping his black friend (50 Cent) but a black man (JAY-Z) is not doing the same for a black man (Lil Waye). As you might know, Eminem refused to perform at the 2022 Super Bowl without 50 Cent.

Then she continued in the next tweet: “And btw, you don’t know the half of what lil Wayne has done for me & others. Wayne had drake & I on his tour w/no papers signed. He was on all of my mixtapes w/no papers signed. This man has literally changed the FACE of hip hop. The hair too. IYKYK. He inspired so many to tat their faces & get locks. Inspired your faves to wanna be a great MC. he never was in this for the money. It’s always been for the love of music. #GagCityDC TONIGHT #DTLR.” Check the tweets below.

Nicki Minaj puts Eminem in her Top 3

In her latest Stationhead stream, Nicki Minaj revealed that Eminem in in her top 3 rappers of all time and called him and herself the greatest lyricists alive.

“Eminem is in my Top 3. I have to be honest. Because, people who rap fast and you can clearly hear what they are saying and in addition to that it is a motherf–king punchline or double entendre that you now have to go back and listen again to understand both ways that he said it while saying it one way…The consistency  of knowing his fanbase, the consistency of making a hit record…” said Nicki Minaj.

Then she continued: “Eminem and I are the two of the greatest lyricists of all time that are alive, not that I’m putting myself on Eminem’s level because Eminem was in the generation before me and just like Lil Wayne, I would never, ever put myself in the same sentence as them when I know that I was sitting home listening to them, being inspired and creating my own sound.” You can watch the interview after the end of the article.

Few months ago, on the same platform, Nicki gave Eminem a shout out and invited him to perform at her Detroit show but it did not happen: “You know what I was thinking guys? One of the things I wanted to say before I play a couple of my favorite songs, you know who I thought about too? Eminem. I listen to him on ‘Majesty’ with Labrinth, last night and I was like ‘oh, what the f–k!’ Eminem gonna have to come out the house for Pink Friday 2 Tour, I ain’t even going home. I’m going to that.” – said Nicki Minaj.

She continued: “Every bar I spit on ‘Majesty’ was so confident but for Eminem to bring it back to the concept of the song being called Majesty and said, instead of calling himself the king, the n-gga said the ‘queen and her husband, one thing you never wanna be is our subject’ and then I come back on the song […] That s–t is so f–king hard.”

Nicki Minaj wants to bring out Eminem at Pink Friday 2 tour, talks about “Majesty”

Nicki Minaj has recently joined fans on Stationhead where she talked about “Majesty” song with Labrinth and Eminem and expressed her desire to bring out Em at her Pink Friday 2 World Tour which will commence on March 1, 2024, in Oakland, United States, and is set to conclude on July 12, 2024, in London, England, at the Wireless Festival. It marks her first concert tour in over five years, since The Nicki Wrld Tour.

“You know what I was thinking guys? One of the things I wanted to say before I play a couple of my favorite songs, you know who I thought about too? Eminem. I listen to him on ‘Majesty’ with Labrinth, last night and I was like ‘oh, what the f–k!’ Eminem gonna have to come out the house for Pink Friday 2 Tour, I ain’t even going home. I’m going to that.” – said Nicki Minaj.

Then she continued: “Every bar I spit on ‘Majesty’ was so confident but for Eminem to bring it back to the concept of the song being called Majesty and said, instead of calling himself the king, the n-gga said the ‘queen and her husband, one thing you never wanna be is our subject’ and then I come back on the song […] That s–t is so f–king hard.”

Nicki Minaj will perform in Midtown Detroit, Michigan at Little Caesars Arena on April 20, 2024, which seems the perfect place to bring out the hometown hero, Slim Shady.

Majesty” is the second collaboration between Eminem and Nicki. The two artists originally teamed up on “Roman’s Revenge” from Nicki’s 2010 album Pink Friday.  In promotion for this song, Nicki and Eminem jokingly stated that they were dating on Instagram. Eminem even went as far as to “confirm the rumors” at his concert at Governors Ball. It was later confirmed those rumors were in fact just jokes.

Megan Thee Stallion indirectly throws shade at Eminem while dissing Nicki Minaj

Megan Thee Stallion ’s latest song, called “Hiss,” is titled after a snake’s warning shot, but within moments of its release, it was clear the Hot Girl was done making threats. For this one, she was emptying the clip.

Checking in at a little over three minutes, Meg’s latest is an apparent response to any and all who’ve thrown shade her way the last few months, including Nicki Minaj and Drake.

In December 2022, Tory Lanez was convicted of felony assault for shooting Megan in her foot after leaving Kylie Jenner’s pool party in July 2020, and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crime in August 2023. Since then, Meg’s been subjected to claims that she was lying about the incident, with one of the most notable jabs being a Drake lyric from his 2022 joint album with 21 Savage, Her Loss.

In the song, Megan Thee Stallion kicks his first with the following lines: “I feel like Mariah Carey (Mariah Carey), got these ni–as so obsessed (Damn).

Megan references Mariah Carey’s 2009 track, “Obsessed”, where Carey addresses rumors and gossip about her personal life, and complains about someone (Eminem) being obsessed over her. The track came a month after Eminem took multiple shots at the singer, as also her ex-husband Nick Cannon on the track “Bagpipes from Baghdad.” Megan, much like Mariah, suggests that she’s not concerned with the opinions or rumors surrounding her, declaring her confidence and resilience in the face of scrutiny, much like Mariah Carey expressed in her song.

Who would Nicki Minaj “Shag, Marry, Kill” between Eminem, Lil Wayne & Drake?

To promote her new album Pink Friday 2, Nicki Minaj has recently visit Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” show, where she revealed that her documentary will most definitely be released despite the delay.

“It’s going to be a great experience for my fans…What happened was, because my album was not done when I was going to originally put it out, I didn’t want the documentary to come out without the music. That would’ve made no sense to people.” she said.

Then she continued: “Because of that, that network, they had to go with something else and I couldn’t force a documentary out either. I wouldn’t have wanted it to come out right now because then it would take time from them really being able to really listen to music. And so now that they’ve digested the music, when the documentary comes, it’ll be a different level of emotional roller coaster I think.”

Nicki Minaj also played “Shag, Marry, Kill” during her visit. After the Shag Roulette machine spun, Lil Wayne, Drake and Eminem popped up. Now Nicki has to make the choice: Which one to shag, which one to marry and which one to kill. Here is what she replied: “HOW DARE YOU?! You know I would never say that but let me put my thought outside of my brain. Can I shag two and marry one? I’ll shag ‘pf mta’ and I’ll marry ‘braa’.

Nicki Minaj passes Eminem with her new top 10 hit

Nicki Minaj is back inside the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts this week with her latest single titled “Barbie World,” featuring Ice Spice, which debuted at number 7.

Achieving this accolade is always a cause for celebration for any musician, but this latest success holds particular significance for Trinidad and Tobago-born rapper. Not only does it mark her return to the competitive region, but it also helps her surpass some of the greatest and most influential hip-hop artists of all time.

With “Barbie World” becoming her 23rd top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts, Minaj has joined a select group of musicians who have amassed such an incredible record. This latest achievement helps Nicki leave behind both Eminem and Jay-Z each with 22 top 10 hits, and now she claims the third place with the most top 10 hits among rappers on the US Billboard Hot 100 history.

While Minaj’s accomplishment is noteworthy, she still has a considerable distance to cover to catch up with the reigning champion of the hip-hop genre, the one and only Drake. Throughout his career, Drake has charted an astounding 68 top 10 hits, not only surpassing his fellow hip-hop musicians but also claiming the title of the artist with the most top 10 hits of all time.

Standing just ahead of Nicki Minaj on the list is her another label mate Lil Wayne who has landed 25 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 charts.

“Barbie World” is the second collaboration between Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice following their collaborative April 2023 track “Princess Diana.” This piece places its spot in Barbie: The Album. It samples the 1997 song “Barbie Girl” by Aqua and was officially released on June 23, 2023.

After signing a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009, Minaj began planning the album that same year and work continued into 2010. Minaj enlisted a variety of producers whose efforts resulted in a primarily hip hop and pop record, which sees additional influences from R&B. The album features guest vocals from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week, marking the second highest sales debut for a female rapper since Lauryn Hill.

The album includes a song “Romans Revenge,” featuring Eminem produced by Swizz Beatz. Nicki raps this song as her “crazy alter ego,” Roman Zolanski, and responds to provocations from a certain queen bee. She is joined by another rapper who knows a thing or two about alter egos, Mr. Slim Shady himself.
