50 Cent teases GTA TV series, will Eminem jump in?

50 Cent is teasing Grand Theft Auto collaboration on Instagram! In his latest cryptic post, Fiddy shared a classic “Vice City” logo with the caption: “I will Explain this later, GLG, GreenLightGang this s–t bigger than POWER trust me. BOOM.”

If 50 Cent is making GTA Vice City TV Series, will Eminem get involved? The two hip-hop titans have most recently collaborated on Episode 7 of BMF, aired on Starz, which is directed by 50 Cent himself and Em makes a cameo as a White Boy Rick.

Late in 2021, six new Dr. Dre songs appeared on Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto expansion GTA Online: The Contract. Among them were “Gospel,” featuring Eminem and The DOC.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a 2002 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the fourth main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, following 2001’s Grand Theft Auto III, and the sixth instalment overall.

Set in 1986 within the fictional Vice City (based on Miami and Miami Beach), the single-player story follows mobster Tommy Vercetti’s rise to power after being released from prison and becoming caught up in an ambushed drug deal. While seeking out those responsible, he slowly builds a criminal empire by seizing power from other criminal organisations in the city.

Back in 2015, 50 Cent revealed that Eminem once turned down an $8 million movie offer because the script was not gritty enough. Maybe it’s time for the two to team up for something huge that is called “GTA: Vice City” TV show.

Earlier this year, Fiddy spoke with Big Boy where he revealed his plans to make 8 Mile TV series: “I’m gonna bring his 8 Mile to television. And Em knows it. It’s gonna be big. I’m working on it. I ain’t got no does. I’m betting one hundred. It should be there for his legacy. It’s important to me that they understand it. It’s a modern version of Em, think about Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. Like a modern version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I wanna be able to show and offer a lot more details. I’mma do Snoop Dogg story too.” said 50 Cent

Rockstar Games turned down GTA movie starring Eminem

According to Games industry veteran Kirk Ewing, the Rockstar Games turned down the chance to launch a Grand Theft Auto movie starring Eminem, a new BBC podcast claims. Kirk, who is a friend of GTA creators Sam and Dan Houser, says a Hollywood agent came to him with the deal.

Based on the story that he told, the brothers were offered $5 million for rights to a movie starring Slim Shady by Top Gun director Tony Scott. But, Kirk tells on BBC podcast Bugzy Malone’s Grandest Game, co-founder and president of Rockstar Games Sam Houser told the agent they were “not interested.”

Released in 2001 on Playstation 2, the pioneering title laid the groundwork for the rest of the series and the imitators that would follow. In the same year, Marshall Mathers was flying high off the back of his record-breaking The Marshall Mathers LP album, which sold 1.7 million copies in its first week of release. Eminem had also just wrapped shooting on his starring role in 8 Mile – a semi-biographical battle rap movie, based on his early steps of his rap career.

‘Are you interested?’ Kirk tells the podcast he tracked Sam Houser to a hotel, where the two stayed up late to discuss the possibility of making a GTA movie. “I think at that point it was still in Sam’s mind that it might be something that he wanted to do,” Kirk says.

He says he was phoned at 04:00 by an LA producer with an offer.

Then Kirk continues: “I was phoned at 4 am by an LA producer with an offer. He said ‘Kirk we have got Eminem to star, and it’s a Tony Scott film – $5 million on the nose. Are you interested?’ And I phoned up Sam and I said ‘Listen to this. They want Eminem in the GTA movie and Tony Scott to direct’. And he said: ‘Not interested’.”

Dr. Dre calls his ex-wife gold digger on a new GTA song with Eminem (Lyrics)

Dr. Dre has released a bunch of new songs as part of GTA Online: The Contract update, before the next-gen version of the game drops in March, 2022.

With The Contract released new song “Gospel,” featuring Eminem and The D.O.C. came with it.

In the song, Dr. Dre raps: “I’m the future, ni**a / Ni**a like me, still here, motherf**ker, go figure / Lookin’ for my next gold digger / This summer here gon’ be colder than winter.” This line is most likely a hint to Dre’s ex-wife, as she’s expected to earn $3.5 million a year in spousal support after recent divorce.
