Jessie Reyez tells funny story about meeting Eminem for the first time

Ebro In The Morning has recently sat down with Jessie Reyez on HOT97 to discuss a variety of topics including finding her self identity, decision to slow down drinking, the process writing her book, relationships, affirmations she uses, and also shares a funny story about meeting Eminem and Beyoncé for the first time.

“I was f–king nervous as hell. There are only two people that I’ve ever met where I had to center myself and not freak out. And Em is one of them. The other one is Beyoncé.” said Jessie Reyez.

Then she continued: “[When I met Eminem] That was funny cause I didn’t realize when we met I hugged and make sounds like ‘huuh’. Audibly exhaled in a very f–king ridiculous way. But it was just genuine. I was really excited.”

“It always resonated with me that he has always been very f–king himself. And very honest. Whether right or wrong, very honest. And at the very least when someone can be that there’s a level of respect that I feel is due because a lot of people in this world f–king can’t be that. Or are scared to be that. So, in that way I resonated in childhood nostalgic ways cause I remember 8 Mile and f–king seeing this middle finger with the two fingers down and thinking this s–t is lit. And being in theater like ‘yoo, I wanna f–king rap.’ It was awesome being in the room with f–king legend.” she added.

BTS pass Eminem with their new No. 1 hit song

With their most recent track, “Take Two,” BTS has once again dominated the US Billboard charts and reclaimed the top spot in the Digital Song Sales list.

Thanks to an incredible 31,000 pure sales in the US, the song rapidly debuted at No. 1. This accomplishment give them the place among the selected few artists who have accomplished such a milestone, as well as making it their eleventh chart-topper on the Digital Song Sales chart.

Some of the biggest names in the music business, such as Katy Perry, Beyoncé, and Eminem, have now been eclipsed by BTS, breaking their tie with these legendary figures. All four acts had 11 No. 1 songs on the Digital Song Sales chart prior to this week, putting them on a same level.

The K-pop heavyweights have now gained ground with “Take Two,” at least temporarily because any of their fellow chart-toppers could suddenly make a surprise comeback, especially Eminem, who has not released new music for more than 3 years.

BTS is now in 6th place on the ranking of artists with the most No. 1 hits in the history of the Digital Song Sales chart. Leading the pack by a significant margin is Taylor Swift, who has reached the pinnacle with an astounding 26 different tracks.

She is followed by Nicki Minaj with 15 tracks who has recently surpassed Rihanna, currently holding steady in third place with 14 chart-toppers. Directly ahead of BTS on the leaderboard are both Drake and Justin Bieber, each with an impressive 13 No. 1 hits.

Eminem praises Beyoncé’s Super Bowl show, talks current relationship with Snoop Dogg & more

Eminem has recently sat down with Sway on Shade 45 to promote his Super Bowl Halftime show where he talked about relationship with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, his favorite Super Bowl performances, his plans in future and more!

On Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick is very top top tier lyricist. Not only for this generation but all time.

On Beyoncé

Beyoncé f**king destroyed the Super Bowl Halftime show.

On Snoop Dogg

Snoop is in every other commercial. You just can’t escape him. It’s great that he made himself to be this relevant to this day. It’s incredible. That’s crazy. Me and Snoop are good. We talked months ago about whole thing. We just set down and realized nobody wants a beef within their own camp. Snoop is Snoop man. I will say this about him too, he literally could be a stand up comedian. He’s still f**king funny. That thing he did with Animal Planet…Bro he’s like that constantly, when you are around him. It’s constant and never stops.

On Dr. Dre

My relationship with Dre is absolutely the same. I have not seen Dre for two years, I talk to him all the time but it’s like we could just pick up where we left off if we don’t see each other. It never stops. Our method is pretty much the same as it always been when we are in the studio together.

On his new album

I’m always working. I’m always working on something. And when I’m done working on it, we usually put it out. (If we told you it would not be too much of a surprise – Paul Rosenberg added)
