Moby praises Eminem: “Kudos to him” Posted on February 25, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze Moby is reflecting on his long-standing feud with Eminem and acknowledging a shift in how he views the rapper years later. Advertisement In an interview with The Times, published Friday, Feb. 20, the 60-year-old singer spoke candidly about their rocky history, which dates back to the early 2000s. Moby once criticized Eminem backstage at the 2001 Grammy Awards, calling him a “misogynist and homophobe and racist and antisemite.” Advertisement At the time, Eminem was nominated for four awards for his album The Marshall Mathers LP, including Best Rap Album and Album of the Year. Slim Shady later fired back in his 2002 hit “Without Me,” rapping: “And Moby? You can get stomped by Obie / You thirty-six-year-old bald-headed f—, blow me / You don’t know me, you’re too old, let go / It’s over, nobody listens to techno.”Now, more than two decades later, Moby says his view of Eminem has evolved. “As time has passed, Eminem’s proven himself to be very progressive, very smart. When he speaks out against Trump, against ICE, I’m like, ‘Wow, kudos to you.’ Eminem’s followers, they’re middle America and very inclined towards supporting Trump,” Advertisement Moby also noted that Eminem’s political commentary carries a different weight compared to other celebrities. “No one’s surprised if Mark Ruffalo or me or whoever speaks out against Trump,” the “Feeling So Real” singer added.For the full interview, visit TIME here.
