Fivio Foreign on how one Eminem track helps him through dark moments

“I listen to that Eminem skit on Juice WRLD album a lot because I’ve dealt with the same kind of situation with what Juice WRLD dealt and Eminem too. My drug addiction. When I’m going to my phase where I’m trying to stop, change and grow, I listen to that skit. Em got a skit on Juice WRLD album where he talks about how he was on the drugs and how one day he stopped. I listen to that a lot.” said Fivio Foreign.

Fivio is talking about “Eminem Speaks” track from Juice WRLD’s 2021 album “Fighting Demons.” The track is taken from Matthew Cooke’s 2012 documentary How To Make Money Selling Drugs, which sees Eminem discuss his own drug abuse and addiction throughout his career, as well as his subsequent rehabilitation.

Eminem was a huge influence on Juice WRLD—which Genius showcases in a December 2018 video—and is also seen in a January 2019 video, where he freestyles over Eminem’s beats for over an hour as part of TimWestwoodTV.

The excerpt may serve to encourage those experiencing drug-related issues to seek out the required help, and understand the long-term impacts of addiction, in the hope of preventing untimely deaths – like that of Jarad’s in December 2019.
