During a recent appearance on Shade 45 to promote his STANS documentary, Eminem spoke how he first met LL Cool J back in 1999 at the Mall.
“I think the first famous person that I actually met, even before Dr. Dre, was Treach. I met Treach in Vegas at a clothing booth. He was selling Naughty By Nature s–t. He’s one of my idols. And then I met Dre. Then I met LL Cool J. I was buying clothes for the Just Don’t Give A F–k video shoot. And LL was in Foot Locker all by himself. When we were standing in line, he quoted one of my lines to me. He said ‘yo, you said ‘how the f–k can I be white? I don’t even exist.’ I was like ‘what the f–k!'” said Eminem.
After Southpawer shared the news on Facebook, Joyner Lucas replied in the comment, saying: “It’s crazy how History repeats itself. First time I met Em was at a Royce Da 5’9″ video shoot. We crossed paths walking down the hall and he stops me and says ‘yo on that ‘Sriracha’ record, how the hell did you do that fast part like that? Like how did you come up with that? That was crazy.’ I looked at homie like he had 5 heads. That’s how our relationship started.”
