Big Sean joins Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown to discuss: Being a lifelong Detroit Lions fan, battling through the music industry, his first book, GO HIGHER five practices for purpose, success, and inner peace and more.
At one point of the podcast, interviewer asked: Who’s the artist that you’ve been on a track with where you’re like you could not believe it? Like, you were starstruck?
On which, Big Sean replied: “Eminem. We went to the studio in Detroit and we were eating Jess pizza and just kickin’ in the studio. My mom bought The Slim Shady LP on my birthday when I was young. I just remembered that and I still had the busted up CD at my mama house and I remember when I went to the studio, I was going to grab it but then I was like ‘that s–t too blazing type s–t.’ And then at the end of the session, Eminem pulls up my CD and he’s like ‘yo can you sign this s–t’. That type s–t changed my life. Eminem in this b–tch like Goku man. He cares about rapping like Goku cares about fighting.”
