It was possibly intended for Eminem’s scrapped project titled King Mathers or Dr. Dre’s never released album DETOX. The actual name “My Syllables” was confirmed in an October 2008 interview with Quo where he says: “The song that featured Jay-Z is a song that Eminem’s putting on his album, called ‘My Syllables.'” For more details, read here. When the song surfaced online, it was just titled “Syllables.”
