Young Thug reacts on Elton John saying he is better at freestyling than Eminem

Couple of weeks ago, in an interview with Billboard, Elton John compared his experience in the studio with Young Thug to seeing Eminem’s impressive rap skills years back.

“I have seen Marshall Mathers do it in Detroit, but I have never seen someone like Thug come in and do that. In the end, I had to leave because I think he felt a bit intimidated that I was there and I just wanted him to relax. But it is just an amazing moment in my musical life…I have no understanding of how rap records are put together and it is fascinating to watch.” said the legendary singer.

Yesterday, Young Thug visited The Breakfast Club where Charlamagne asked him if he knew what Elton John said about him and Eminem. Here is what Thugger replied: “Right… Look… Of course it’s f**king Eminem.”

Young Thug references Eminem in a song from his new album

Young Thug released new album “Punk” and it is predicted to debut inside Top 3 on US Billboard 200 with approximate sales of 95,000 album equivalent units.

The new project features guest verses from Drake, Future, Juice WRLD, Mac Miller, Gunna, Doja Cat, and more.

“Punk” album includes a song titled “Faces,” in which Thugger references Eminem with the following lines: “Watch me falsetto out in Vegas with your lady (Woo) / Tryna rob, your chances are Slimmer than Shady (Yeah).”

This is not the first time the Atlanta-born rapper plays on words Slim Shady. Back in 2020, Thugger released a song with Gunna titled “Diamonds Dancing,” where he raps: “This money be my missus, drive me crazy, I need Ritalin / I told ’em, “I’m so Slim, I’m so Shady, I admit it, yeah.”

Elton John’s new album, The Lockdown Sessions, comes out October 22, 2021 but it is far from the only project on the legendary singer’s plate because he is ‘as busy as ever.’

Elton and fellow legend Stevie Wonder has recently spoke to Billboard where John named the rapper who is as spectacular as Eminem at freestyling:

“I was just blown away by Young Thug’s freestyle. I mean, I have seen Marshall Mathers do it in Detroit, but I have never seen someone like Thug come in and do that. In the end, I had to leave because I think he felt a bit intimidated that I was there and I just wanted him to relax. But it is just an amazing moment in my musical life… I have no understanding of how rap records are put together and it is fascinating to watch.” said John.

Charlamagne says Future, 6ixN9ne, Young Thug & Britney Spears would wash Eminem in Verzuz

On The Brilliant Idiots with Andrew Schultz, Charlamagne Tha God talks about Eminem’s chances in Verzuz battle.

“Eminem gets washed in any Verzuz bro. Em don’t have songs like that. Em can rap and we like Eminem as a rapper. Future washes Eminem in Verzuz. 6ixN9ne would wash him too, depending on the generation. Em don’t got nothing that slaps like GUMMO to these kids. Young Thug washes Eminem in a Verzuz. I can name twenty rappers that washes Eminem in Verzuz.”

“Em falls in the same category as somebody like Kendrick Lamar and I think Kendrick would perform better in Verzuz. Em doesn’t have Verzuz type songs. Imagine Verzuz where he plays ‘Stan.’ Britney Spears washes Eminem in a Verzuz bro. Britney gets Eminem f**k out of here.” – says Charlmagne
