Comedian Bobby Lee talks meeting Dr. Dre & Eminem on “We Made You” video shoot

Comedian Bobby Lee has recently chatted with Joe Rogan Red Ban on Joe Rogan Experience where he talked about first time meeting Eminem and Dr. Dre.

“I did one of his music videos [We Made You]. I got a call saying ‘come down now cause they need you.’ I came down and I did three sketches. I played Sulu, then I played an Eskimo. He is nice. I had not met him before and I got to meet Dr. Dre which is great. He has huge black hand that takes my little hand it surrounds my hand and it’s so dry and perfect. [Everyone laughs]. And he is so gentle, like a giant gentle. He’s huge. He is a kind guy. I grew up on NWA. So it was great.” says Bobby Lee.

Back in 2009, Eminem released music video of “We Made You” from Relapse album which featured cameos from 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Oxen, Lisa Ann and Bobby Lee among others.

Couple of years ago, in an interview with Steve-O’s Wild Ride Bobby spoke on how he ended up on Eminem’s music video: “One time I was in a Korean restaurant with my girlfriend and this Korean guy comes up to me and he was like ‘hey dude, I like your comedy, I’m director, you wanna do music videos?!’ and I don’t know what it was but I gave my number. So a week later, that dude texted me: ‘tomorrow, music video, Eminem and Dr. Dre!’, I was like, WHAT?!”

“He gave me an address, I show up and next thing I know I’m in a f–kin van with Dr. Dre and Marshall, Eminem! And I’m doing one of their music videos. It’s called ‘We Made You.’ This guy was a f**king director of Eminem’s music video.” Bobby added.

Trisha Paytas reacts to her & Eminem video resurfacing

The singer and OnlyFans model, Trisha Paytas, parodied Jessica Simpson’s role in the 2005 action comedy road film The Dukes of Hazzard remake for Eminem’s second single “We Made You” from Relapse album, released in 2009.

Upon its release, the music video raised eyebrows with its impersonation of major newsmakers at the time, including Paytas as Simpson, adult-film star Lisa Ann as Sarah Palin and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Derrick Barry who is famed as a Britney Spears impersonator.

A Twitter fan-page that is dedicated to 2000s pop culture shared the clip with the caption: “Eminem was such a menace because how you open a song with ‘jessica simpson, sing the chorus’ and Trisha Paytas appears.”

Many fans replied and Paytas also weighed in on the tweet, saying her cameo made her an “icon.” She said: “I will always be an icon thanks to this music videos. 14 years later and it’s still going viral.”

It’s not the first time Paytas has spoken about the impact appearing in Eminem’s video has had on her career. Back in 2014, in an interview with The Sun magazine, she told the interviewer: “I totally owe Eminem for giving me my start. This video opened up so many doors for me at 20.”

In one of her TikTok videos, she also revealed how good person Eminem is behind the scenes: “Behind the scenes, Eminem, he was very fun. And just like all over the place, and just like a ball of energy but once it turned off, like behind the scenes, he was like, ‘Hi, thanks for doing this.’ I remember Marshall, being like ‘Oh my gosh, you look better than the real Jessica Simpson, don’t be self-conscious. He was an insanely nice person.”

Lisa Ann details working with Eminem on “We Made You”

Last year, in an interview with Tom Cridland’s Greatest Music of All Time Podcast, the adult film star Lisa Ann talked about the working experience with Eminem on his Relapse single “We Made You,” which was released in 2009.

Interviewer: “What was it like shooting ‘We Made You’ video with Eminem? That’s so cool.

Lisa Ann: “It was so cool. I mean, because I’m an Eminem fan. So you don’t wanna be fanned out. Your are not allowed to have a phone or anything with you because of the privacy. They didn’t want somebody to release the song.

Lisa Ann: “Very first interaction that was the scene as Bret Michaels from ‘Rock of Love.’ I was just in lingerie in his bed. So the first time we really kind of meet we are climbing in to bed together. He leans over me and says ‘hey’ and I’m also like ‘hey.’ We had a great time on the shoot. He was ton of funny.”

Lisa Ann: “Also he’s very creative. I was impressed to see.. they had everything set up in this huge Universal studio, where we shot the video. After something we shot, he was going over digital animation. There are 20 people on the screen watching and he knew exactly what he wanted. And it was neat for me to see him be in front of the camera and being Eminem. And then getting out of bed going ‘well this is exactly what I had in mind, this is the vision I had.’ I was like ‘wow he’s so artistically talented’.

Lisa Ann: He’s not lazy. He knows his ideas work and he’s not afraid to say to somebody ‘this is the idea I had’. Like there was a girl playing Kim Kardashian gets put into shredder, the wood chipper and money flies out. That was him saying ‘of course wood chips would not but money is gonna fly out of Kardashian.’ All of this in his head. And that is true gift.”
