Eminem sets new Spotify record as “The Eminem Show” hits 4 Billion streams

Eminem’s fourth solo studio album, The Eminem Show, has just surpassed 4 billion streams on Spotify, making it the only album in any genres of music from 2000s to achieve this milestone.

Widely considered the most anticipated album of 2002, The Eminem Show debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and stood there for 6 non-consecutive weeks. It sold over 1.3 million copies in its second week in the US, where it registered a full week of sales.

The Eminem Show was both the best-selling album of 2002 in the United States and the best-selling album worldwide of 2002. In 2022, it was certified 12 times platinum by the RIAA and hold the diamond certification for selling 12,000,000 copies in the country. Its worldwide sales of 27 million copies make it one of the best-selling albums of all time and the second best-selling album of the 21st century.

At the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album, while “Without Me” won Best Music Video. It’s non-single track “Till I Collapse” also remains the most streamed workout song on Spotify with almost 1.4 billion streams.

2021 is not ending without a record set by Slim Shady!

Eminem’s first major release, The Slim Shady LP (1999), has now surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the only artists in the platform’s history to have 11 albums with +1 billion streams each.

The highest streamed album is The Eminem Show with 3.6 billion streams, followed by Recovery with almost 3 billion. Third and fourth places are occupied by The Marshall Mathers LP2 and Kamikaze with 2.9 billion and 2.5 billion streams, respectively.

Eminem’s latest offering Music To Be Murdered By, Marshall Mathers LP and Curtain Call: The Hits, all of them are above 2 billion streams each. Revival, Relapse, Encore and now The Slim Shady LP are over 1 billion streams each.

Kanye West ties one of Eminem’s Billboard records with “Donda” album

Last week, Kanye West released his tenth solo studio album, “Donda,” with the guest appearances from Jay Z, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Lil Durk, Kid Cudi, DaBaby, Conway The Machine and many more.

The album has officially sold 309,000 units in its first week which is easily enough to hit No.1 on Billboard 200 and earn Ye his tenth consecutive No.1 album on the charts. “Donda” has significantly increased sales compared to Kanye’s previous effort, “Jesus Is King,” which sold around 264,000 units on its first week back in 2019.

With West going No.1 for tenth time, consecutively, he tied Eminem’s accolade, who also has 10 consecutive albums going straight at No. 1 on Billboard. Kanye West and Eminem are the only artists in history to achieve this milestone.

Eminem becomes first hip-hop artist to reach incredible YouTube milestone

Eminem keeps reaching unachievable accolades. The Detroit legend has now surpassed 20 billion total views on YouTube which makes him the first hip-hop artist to reach this milestone.

Overall, Eminem becomes sixth artist to surpass 20,000,000,000 mark.

Top three most viewed videos on Eminem’s YouTube channel are “Love The Way You Lie,” “Not Afraid” and “Rap God.” His channel has also recently surpassed 48 million subscribers.

Eminem most recently became the first artist to have two albums with over 11 million pure sales each in the United States. It’s just an ordinary day for the Slim Shady.
