Lil Nas X uses same sample on a new song “Don’t Want It” as Eminem on “Mockingbird”

Lil Nas X has released new album “MONTERO” and it includes a song titled “DONT WANT IT.”

It features producer credits from Nick Mira and Lil Nas X himself, as this is the first song Lil Nas has helped co-produce on.

The song interpolates the folk nursery rhyme “Hush, Little Baby” in its chorus. Lil Nas X is not the first rapper to do so — the song was also sampled in Eminem’s 2004 hit song “Mockingbird” from Encore album. Lil Nas’ song also interpolates Eminem’s “Mockingbird.”

Megan Thee Stallion drops crazy Eminem reference in a new song with Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has released new album MONTERO, featuring Jack Harlow, Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion and Miley Cyrus.

In a song titled “DOLLA SIGN SLIME,” Megan drops one of the hardest Eminem shout-out while referencing his legendary songs, ‘Stan’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady.’

“Baby, all these hoes imitate me / You gon’ f**k a Stan or the real Slim Shady?” she raps.

Lil Nas X, who has recently trolled rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine for making a public homophobic comment, has recently shared a video of him ‘freestyling’ over Dr. Dre and Eminem’s “Forgot About Dre” in support of Eminem after Gen Z tried to cancel the Detroit legend on her viral TikTok video. Last Friday, Eminem released an animated lyric video for his 2020 single “Tone Deaf,” from Music To Be Murdered By album, which appears to be a response to a TikTok campaign to the real Slim Shady. The video, in typical antagonistic Eminem fashion, features images of disgraced figures like Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein. This is the latest in a growing #canceleminem movement that has highlighted a divide between Millennial Eminem fans and younger Gen Z critics.

While sharing on social media, Eminem quoted: “I won’t stop even when my hair turns grey (I’m tone-deaf) / ‘Cause they won’t stop until they cancel me.” Watch the video below:
