Fat Joe has recently sat with LL Cool J for a discussion about his road to success on a new episode of his weekly interview series, “Fat Joe Talks,” on STARZ.
During the 30 minutes conversation, the two hip-hop icons briefly talked about the relationship with Eminem.
Fat Joe: [The fact that you want to be yourself and copy no one] We respect that and we love that. That’s the only way you’ll get somebody like Eminem, the biggest streamer in the universe, to shoot a video and do a song with you cause he respects you as an artist. Tell me about that relationship between you and Eminem cause I feel like I got the best relationship with you but I’m starting getting in my feelings. Cause this man right here, I’ve seen him big you up when he won Hall Of Fame. I seen him always big you up. LL Cool J: He’s amazing. We got a great rapport. We are friends. He does [look up to me]. We have that love for hip-hop in common.

The Cleveland Browns provided one of the biggest surprises of the Week 8 Sunday slate with their win over division rival Baltimore and Jameis Winston played big role in it. That victory snapped the Browns’ five-game losing streak and ended the Ravens’ five-game winning streak.
Cleveland had their best offensive performance of the season behind backup quarterback Jameis Winston. He completed 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead touchdown to Cedric Tillman in the game’s final minute.
After the game, Winston quoted Eminem when asked about getting his first start since 2022: “There’s a white boy from Detroit that I really admire named Eminem. He said, ‘You only get one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity lasts once in a lifetime.'”
Winston nearly had that part of the chorus to Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” perfectly correct. Except the final line is, “This opportunity comes once in a lifetime,” but Winston got the point across. You can watch the interview below:

Before he made his way to the ring at TNA Bound For Glory in Detroit, Michigan, a video package aired for Joe Hendry with the musical track being inspired by Eminem’s magnum opus single, “Lose Yourself.”
Hendry then stood at the top of the ramp in overalls and a Jason mask, revving a chainsaw. The persona was a tribute to Eminem’s Slim Shady persona from late ’90s and early ’00s.
Hendry previously invited Eminem to attend the event but it seems Marshall Mathers didn’t receive the invitation. Hendry challenged Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title in the co-main event of TNA Bound For Glory. Watch the video below.
Kid Rock, the hip-hop and country-rock star from metro Detroit, Michigan, has become just as well-known for his music as his political opinions, and the music legend on his way is back with another hot take about the upcoming United States election. This time, Rock is standing with fellow musicians Eminem and Taylor Swift, celebrating them for using their platforms, even if he doesn’t agree with their politics.
Kid Rock posted a video on his social media profiles, shirtless, playing guitar in a camouflage hat, saying, “Now that I have your attention. I love Eminem. We’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe. Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great.”
Eminem, who has previously collaborated with Rock, thrown his support behind Kamala Harris about a week ago in his hometown. Slim Shady took to the stage at Huntington Place in Detroit to introduce former President Barack Obama, who was rallying in support of Harris. Despite being “unequivocally MAGA,” Kid Rock said he supports his fellow artists for using their platform for politics, regardless of which side of the aisle they fall on.
Eminem responded Rock on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Here’s one thing Kid Rock and I do agree on… GO DETROIT LIONS !!!! Appreciate you, Bob.” After few hours, Kid Rock responded back: Thanks Eminem. Who would of thought it would be 2 white rappers from Detroit / Michigan to show our divided Country what class is and how it should be done! Appreciate ya too Marshall! Kid Rock / Bob Ritchie. DETROIT LOVE #GOLIONS.” Check out the official tweets below.

Detroit rapper Kash Doll has recently sat down with Bootleg Kev where they briefly talked about newer generation of Motor City artists kind of critiquing Eminem for not necessarily paying attention to new artists in Detroit.
“I have not met Em yet. I want to and I’m not even mad that he haven’t tapped in. I don’t know, it’s something about men and women within this era but I think we’re going to have our time.” said Kash Doll.
Then she continued: “I did a concert with 50 [Cent]. He came to Detroit and I seen Em come out on stage and I’m so mad I’m not backstage anymore no more but it would have took so much for me to go back so I was like, there will be a time that it’s going to happen. I love Em, I have nothing bad to say. Em is Em. He made his mark. He did what he needed to do. He one of them ones who put Detroit on the map. When you think of 8 Mile, you think of Eminem Detroit.”
“I have nothing bad to say. I haven’t met him, he have not tapped in but that’s cool. He’s not obligated to. He’s obligated to tap in to who he likes.” Kash Doll added. You can watch the interview below:
Rap icon Eminem and former United States President Barack Obama shared a light-hearted moment at a rally for the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign ahead of the presidential elections at Slim Shady’s hometown Detroit and Elon Musk in not happy about it.
Barack Obama took the crowd by a surprise by rapping to Eminem’s magnum opus single “Lose Yourself.” During his speech, Obama, whose love for music, especially hip-hop and rap is well known through his popular self-curated playlists, recited the opening lines of the legendary track. “I don’t usually get nervous, but I was feeling some kinda way following Eminem. I thought Eminem was going to be performing, I was ready to jump out. Love me some Eminem.” said Obama after rapping few lines from the first verse.
It appears, Elon Musk, who is Donald Trump supporter, didn’t like the fact. The billionaire has alleged that Eminem attended the party thrown by music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was indicted last month on three criminal counts that allege he s-xually abused women and coerced them into drug-fueled s-x parties using threats and violence. “Yet another Diddy party participant,” Musk wrote on X on Tuesday in response to a post that alleged that Eminem rapped about “killing homosexuals with a chainsaw.” Of course, these words were nothing but a bull’s crap. Maybe Elon and the rest of the people who think so need to check out this article that I made couple of weeks ago. I’ve listed dozens of songs where Eminem is dissing Diddy for almost three decades. Unlike Elon, who hang out with Diddy few times.
Until politics become very important for Elon Musk, expressed his admiration to Eminem’s music many times in the past. Back in 2019, Elon Musk tweeted: “the color orange is named after fruit.” One of the users replied: “There’s also no word in English that rhymes with orange.” On that Elon replied: “Door hinge.” This is the reference to famous Eminem interview he did on 60 Minutes.
Back in 2002, Eminem released “Without Me,” single from The Eminem Show album. In the song, Eminem pokes the FCC (Federal Communications Commissions) over a $7,000 penalty they had imposed on a Colorado radio station for playing his another hit song “The Real Slim Shady” it deemed offensive. In 2022, Elon Musk quoted the same lyrics but inserting “SEC” in place for FCC, seeking to throw away his 2018 agreement with the regulator that requires the CEO to seek preapproval for his tweets. As Reuter reports, the CEO of Tesla likened himself to Eminem during a court filing, alleging that the SEC violated the First Amendment. “The SE won’t let me be or let me be me, so let me see; They tried to shut me down,” Elon said, quoting Eminem in the court files.
Later on Twitter, Musk compared himself to Eminem, saying: “I mean we are basically identical – a few differences maybe.”
I mean we’re basically identical – a few differences maybe …
Back in 2017, when Elon was introducing Tesla Model 3 to the world, tweeted Lil Wayne and Eminem’s “Drop The World” song, saying he was playing it in the car.
Former President of the United States Barack Obama lost himself in the music, the moment on Tuesday night (October 22, 2024) at Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s Detroit rally ahead of the 2024 presidential election next month. The Detroit icon took the stage to introduce Obama at the event.
“I’m here tonight for couple of important reasons. As most of you know, the city of Detroit and a whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever and I think it’s important to use your voice so I’m encouraging everybody to get out vote, please.” said Eminem.
Then he continued: “I also think, the people should not be afraid express their opinions and I don’t think anyone once in America where people are worried about retribution of what people would do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris support the future of this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld. And here to tell you much more about that, president Barack Obama.”
From there, Barack Obama continued: “I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous but I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem and I noticed my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti. I’m nervous but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs! I thought Eminem was going to perform and I was going to jump up. Love me some Eminem!” You can watch the video below:
CNN reports: Eminem makes few public appearances, but the the Detroit icon is set to make an exception when he introduces former President Barack Obama at a Detroit rally tonight.
A Democratic official familiar with planning for the event said Eminem is not expected to perform, but rather to welcome Obama to the Motor City for a get-out-the-vote rally for Kamala Harris. In doing so, Eminem is expected to offer his thoughts on the presidential race, which he has rarely done.
But Eminem’s views of Donald Trump are well known, accusing the former president of “brainwashing” his supporters. He delivered a blistering critique on Trump that went viral at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards.
A parade of celebrities have stepped forward to campaign for Harris and the Democratic ticket, but few of which have the iconic pull of Eminem, particularly in Detroit, as Harris fights to fortify the blue wall in her deadlocked race with Trump.
Last night, Eminem headlined the 2024 Formula 1 Pirelli US Grand Prix at Germania Insurance Super Stage. The Detroit icon continued the promo run for his 12th solo studio album, “The Death of Slim Shady” as he kicked off his performance with an old throwback attire of wearing a Jason mask along with a chainsaw.
Slim Shady started his set with “Lucifer.” He also performed some of his greatest old and new hits, including “White America”, “Godzilla”, “Rap God”, “Sing For The Moment”, “Stan”, “Like Toy Soldiers”, “Love The Way You Lie”, “Venom”, “Somebody Save Me”, “Temporary”, “Without Me”, “Lose Yourself”, “Marshall Mathers” and many more. He was also assisted by his longtime friend and collaborators Skylar Grey and Denaun Porter.
In between his performance, the crowd of 100,000 people also wished Em a happy birthday. On 17th October, Eminem celebrated his 52nd birthday. You can check out the full setlist and full concert below.

After announcing that he’s soon kicking off his first ever Las Vegas concert residency, 50 Cent: In Da Club, Fiddy spoke with PEOPLE magazine about Eminem becoming a grandfather: “Oh man, he’ll be the greatest grandfather. That grandkid is gonna say, ‘My granddaddy is still cool. My granddad is cool.'” said 50 Cent.
Then he continued: “He still didn’t lose his cool. He’s still the biggest rap artist in the world. I compared him to my grandparents only because my grandmother raised me. I put Em in that space. When people help you when you can’t help yourself, it resonates the strongest, and Em put me on. So he’s my guy forever. I don’t care.”
“He’s still in that pocket. He’s still doing the same thing, still drilling it, still number one, still highest selling. He can still do it. He can still hold it. That’s because he never stopped. He stayed right there. When I started looking at film and television and other areas to pivot, he stayed right in a recording studio recording.” 50 Cent. added.
Math Hoffa has recently sat down with DJ VLAD where the legendary battle rapper discussed if there is a way to outshine Eminem on a song.
“If you get on a track with Eminem, don’t try to do the Eminem s–t. He’s gonna smoke you every single time. I feel LL held his own but don’t get on a tack with Em, doing Em s–t. You heard Rap God? Okay, cool, if I ever do a track with this guy, I’m never rapping fast. I’m gonna focus on something else. This guy is known for this. He does this. Everyday he wakes up in the morning he’s rhyming fast. He just does that s–t. Don’t try to do that s–t with him. Take “Renegade,” the big Renegade conversation. Jay didn’t really do him either. He did it as far as content but rhyming style? That was not Jay-Z rhyming pattern. That’s not Jay-Z’s flow. People get on a track with Em and tryin to do Em s–t. No bro, you don’t have to!” said Math Hoffa
Then he continued in another clip: “[Do you agree Eminem got LL Cool J on that song?] He gets everyone on the song! Who got him? [Busta Rhymes] I love Busta. Busta can do the tempo but the bar structure, nah. When you slow that down and you read it, you gonna be like, ‘oh, that was a punch, oh, that was ill flip.’ Em is doing that fast s–t but he’s also putting in punchlines and s–t. Nah, bro, I don’t think so.” said Math Hoffa.
After long thinking, he finally came out with an answer: “Closest to getting Em…I’m stuck…Damn, who’d that be? I don’t know. Maybe Royce. Royce would probably the only other person. Does Kendrick have a record with Eminem? You know what’s funny? I really like the joint he did with Young MA and she blacked out on that s–t! Because she did her s–t and not Eminem s–t.” Watch the videos below:
