Drake ties another Eminem Billboard record

Drake’s latest album, Certified Lover Boy, has spent 5th week on Billboard 200 charts, making him to repeat the record set by Eminem.

Drizzy now has three albums which have spent at least 5 weeks each at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, just like Eminem.

Other Drake’s albums that have spent at least five weeks at number one are: “Scorpion” and “Views”

For Eminem, the record holder albums are: “The Marshall Mathers LP,” “The Eminem Show,” and “Recovery.”

Eminem’s “Curtain Call: The Hits” reaches new milestone on Billboard charts on his birthday

Eminem’s greatest hits album Curtain Call: The Hits, has now spent 550 weeks on Billboard 200 charts, making Slim Shady the first and only rapper to reach that accolade.

The album that was released more than 15 years ago, was No. 42 best selling album in United States this week, giving him total of 550 weeks on charts.

Pop Smoke breaks Eminem’s 10 years old record on Billboard charts

Late rapper Pop Smoke hit an impressive feat on the Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop album chart in the United States . Just a few days ago, Billboard reported that Pop Smoke’s posthumous album, Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, which is executive produced by 50 Cent, reached an accolade that was unseen in 30 years on its Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

According to the Billboard, Pop Smoke’s album is the longest-running No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop album chart since 1990 (in the last 30 years), leading the chart for the 17th week. The record was held by Eminem’s 2010 album, Recovery which spent 16 weeks on the charts. Overall, legendary rapper M.C. Hammer’s Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt Em album, dominated the chart for 29 weeks back in 1990.

 

Eminem’s “Curtain Call: The Hits” sets historic Billboard record !

Eminem’s greatest hits album “Curtain Call: The Hits” has now spent total of 500 weeks (9.8 years) on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart, which makes it the first and the only hip-hop album in history to reach the 500-week milestone. This week, the album that was released 15 years ago is charting at number 60 on Billboard 200.

The closest hip-hop album to 500-week milestone is Kendrick Lamar’s first major debut album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” which was released in 2011 and has spent 418 weeks on Billboard 200.

Eminem’s second longest charting album is “The Eminem Show” (2002) with 396 weeks on chart, followed by “Recovery” (2010) with 320 weeks. You can check the list for all Eminem albums below:
