After signing a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009, Minaj began planning the album that same year and work continued into 2010. Minaj enlisted a variety of producers whose efforts resulted in a primarily hip hop and pop record, which sees additional influences from R&B. The album features guest vocals from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Kanye West and Natasha Bedingfield. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, selling 375,000 copies in its first week, marking the second highest sales debut for a female rapper since Lauryn Hill. The album includes a song “Romans Revenge,” featuring Eminem produced by Swizz Beatz. Nicki raps this song as her “crazy alter ego,” Roman Zolanski, and responds to provocations from a certain queen bee. She is joined by another rapper who knows a thing or two about alter egos, Mr. Slim Shady himself. You can revisit the song below: LATEST RELATED NEWSEminem’s “Without Me” Hits 3 Billion Streams on SpotifyTom MacDonald mentions Eminem in 3 songs off his new album50 Cent drops unreleased song, teases new album titlePapoose name-drops Eminem again in a new 50 Cent dissEminem and Shade 45 mourn the death of Lord SearJoe Budden podcast host says Eminem can’t sell out stadiums without pop starShare this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Eminem EminemNicki Minaj
