LeBron James Raps Eminem Verse on Forgot About Dre

LeBron James Raps Dr. Dre & Eminem’s Iconic Song in a New Interview

Posted on March 20, 2026March 20, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze

LeBron James has been at the top of the sports world for more than twenty years, but his influence goes way beyond basketball. He’s become a huge part of music, fashion, and business, too. On a recent episode of the show Track Star, LeBron sat down to talk about the songs that have been the soundtrack to his life, from legends like Jay-Z and Nas to Dr. Dre and Outkast.

During the interview, LeBron shared some cool stories about his life off the court. He talked about what it’s like to hear his name in rap songs and how he helped make Beats headphones famous in NBA locker rooms years ago. He even mentioned being in a music video for Tyler, The Creator. For LeBron, music isn’t just something to listen to—it’s a big part of how he gets ready for games and stays connected to the culture.

The most fun part of the interview happened when he was asked to guess a third mystery song. As soon as the beat for Dr. Dre’s “Forgot About Dre” started playing, LeBron didn’t hesitate. He immediately said, “That’s easy,” and started rapping Eminem’s hook of the song. He knew every single word, showing everyone that he’s just as much of a hip-hop head as he is a basketball star.

LeBron’s love for Eminem actually goes back a long way, and he has never been shy about showing it. Over the years, he’s posted countless videos of himself in the gym or his car catching a vibe to Slim Shady’s music. He famously hyped up albums like Recovery and Revival on his social media, often calling Eminem a “GOAT” and praising his lyrical skill. When Eminem released “Houdini” in 2024, LeBron was one of the first to post about it, excitedly telling his followers, “He’s back bruh!” and giving the track a glowing review.

Their connection even became professional when Eminem’s song “Forever” was used as the main track for LeBron’s high school documentary, titled More Than a Game. LeBron has been seen rapping that entire verse word-for-word, showing that he’s a true student of the music. Whether he’s getting hyped before a big playoff game by rapping “The Way I Am” or hanging out backstage at events with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, LeBron has consistently shown that he’s one of Eminem’s biggest and most loyal supporters in the sports world.
