Ez Mil drops new freestyle Posted on February 19, 2026February 19, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze Ez Mil ’s most notable activity since joining Shady/Aftermath/Interscope has been his appearances tied to Eminem’s projects. He landed a verse and presence on the track “Head Honcho” from Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) in 2024, even rapping some lines in Tagalog, and he shared a lyric/music-video style visual around his birthday. Before that, his last real standalone release under the label was the deluxe version of his 2022 album DU4LI7Y: REDUX in 2023, featuring the Eminem collab “Realest.”” Since then, there hasn’t been a full project or many new singles of his own—even though he’s reportedly been working on new material in the studio. That’s exactly why a lot of fans are frustrated: Ez Mil had serious momentum before signing, dropping music regularly and earning a viral following, but after two-plus years on Shady Records we’re still basically waiting for his first major-label album or consistent solo output. It’s hard not to feel like he’s being sidelined or paced too slowly, given the potential he showed before the deal.In his recent freestyle, Ez Mill sings: “Walked ten thousand miles barefoot just to prove that I can / Tired of all of the critiquing how my music should be / They finessed us through the deal it was killing me / I made a promise to my boy that I would set him free.” The freestyle caused debates among fans. Some of them think Ezekiel is throwing shots at Shady Records. One reddit user said: “It could very well be interpreted as throwing shots.. but who knows for sure. What we all know is that Shady Records is a terribly managed label, they haven’t done a good job since… 50?.. Honestly, it’s time for Paul and Em to just close the label and keep it Aftermath/Interscope.” Another said: “Yea it seems like after he signed, he barely drops anything new. He definitely dropped way more before. I really hope the f–king label don’t keep him down or f–k with his ways. We’ll see I guess.” Someone said: “Shady records should be studied. I’ve never seen a label so consistently ruin promising artists careers. Its quite impressive how the second someone signs with them they do a feature with Em then their career immediately falls off.”You can watch the freestyle below and tell us your opinions in the comment sections of our social media accounts.
