Shannon Sharpe sits down with The Game on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay podcast where he recounts recording with Eminem, his later beef, and whether he regrets any bars he’s dropped.
“We went in Detroit to record ‘We Ain’t’. And that was probably the craziest studio session that I ever been in. Em eats Taco Bell like its a gum and he drinks Mountain Dew. Sometimes he writes his raps in circle on a paper. And when he read the raps, he turns it opposite way. One of the most talented rappers alive and that’s ever been. And yeah, that experience in Detroit was kind of cool.” said The Game.
Then he continued: “When I first heard ‘Hi, My Name Is,’ I saw that on MTV, I was like ‘damn, that s–t is weird. But I like it!’ I’ve never heard anything like that before. I didn’t even know you could talk about your mom and s–t. So I thought it was crazy. So by that time I was pretty much already a fan of him at the early stage of his career. So to be on the label with a guy that outrapped Jay-Z on ‘Renegade” was crazy for me.”
“How did we end up beefing? I was just angry at Dr. Dre. And I was like ‘he can’t outrap me so let me just try to throw shots at Em. That’s what it was. That pissed a lot of people off.” The Game added. You can watch the interview below:
