NF returns with a new EP called FEAR, featuring James Arthur and Machine Gun Kelly. Across the 6-track project, he wades into topics like lost love, mental health, emotional isolation, and the shifting landscapes of success and identity. It’s an NF album that feels both familiar and newly daring, balancing stripped-down honesty with cinematic intensity.
Interestingly, NF spends more time singing here than he ever has. Of course, NF doesn’t leave longtime fans starving for bar-heavy energy. “GIVE ME A REASON” and “WASHED UP” find him fully activated, rapping with the urgency and aggression that marked his earlier catalog.
In the song “GIVE ME A REASON” raps about Eminem comparisons: “I wanna feel like I felt when nobody was followin’ me and I had no awards / I wanna get back to hearin’ them call me a wannabe Shady who ain’t got no voice / I want the people that promised they’d always be with me to leave me and walk out the door.”
Many people, especially those that do not like NF, call him a copy or wannabe of Eminem. In this line, it seems that NF misses these days for some reason. You can listen to the song below:
