The legendary Redman has recently sat down on Acton Entertainment for an exclusive, in-depth interview in London. He opens up about wishing he could’ve connected more with Tupac, hanging out with The Notorious B.I.G., his thoughts on Biggie starting a relationship with his former love, Faith Evans, his bond with Faith today, explains why he hasn’t done more collaborations with Eminem and many more highly compelling topics.
“The politics of it was, is just that Eminem was busy. I’m not the type of guy to use my friendship with him as a way to get him to do a record cause I know he’s very popular. I did say ‘yo, if you got some lyrics that you ain’t using on a beat, just send it over, I will make a song out of it.’ He knows that, if we do a record, we gonna have to push that pen. We are going to have to go in.” said Redman.
Then he continued: “I never use my friendship with him as a way just to do a song. When I hit Eminem, it’s just like ‘yo, Em, what’s good? Just checking in. You good? Give family my love. Blessings.’ And that’s it. He’d be like ‘yo, Red, what’s good!’ And I know people were expecting me to do a song with Em but he has so many other projects he had to work on for other people that he was behind on and I gave him his room. But when the time is right, it will get done.”
