The Detroit Lions are hosting the Chicago Bears in the home opener at Ford Field in Detroit, Sunday, Sept. 14 in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season, and have an early 28-14 lead after one half of play.
The Lions (0-1) are coming off a disappointing 27-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers in their 2025 season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7, and are looking to put together a more effective offensive performance after laying an egg in Week 1. Their opponent this week, however, is led by former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who is making his return to Detroit as the Bears’ coach.
The Bears are 0-1 after a crumling late in a 27-24 loss at home to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, Sept. 8. Bears second-year quarterback Caleb Williams had a stirring first-half performance, but couldn’t overcome a late Vikings comeback.
