In the latest episode of The Bigger Picture, Elliott Wilson, DJ Hed, and Jeremy Hecht break down Drake’s latest single “What Did I Miss?” and they debate the video and how good the song is.
They talk about Elliott’s new Clipse interview, and Wale’s freestyle moment inspired by Hed’s “Effective Immediately” interview. They also debate Kanye West’s greatest song ever, discuss Pusha T’s views on Kanye’s leadership and MBDTF business, and react to Eminem’s verse on JID’s new project.
“You know what I loved in Eminem’s verse? It was really well-balanced Eminem verse. You got the bars about Kanye and Ja Rule and pop culture references he always did. But then he kind of broke his walls down and got vulnerable when he talked about 8 Mile being closest he ever had a sellout but at the same time he lost Proof right after that. It was really vulnerable Em ending that verse while still being at the top of his game lyrically and flow-wise. I couldn’t ask for more from Eminem’s verse.” says Jeremy Hecht.
“Eminem took over the four-pack (JID’s EP), Em murdered JID on his own s–t. Em went crazy bro! I was listening and I kept running and I’m trying to write that s–t down but I was like ‘f–k that, its too much!’ This is like, remember when Hov did “GOD DID” verse? It was like that. Whose song is this?! Cause this song is about Em!” said DJ Hed.
