Damizza has recently sat down on “TFU Podcast” with AD Dolphin, Joshua Engle and Alejandro G where revealed that Eminem wanted Mariah Carey to play B-Rabbit’s mother in the 8 Mile movie and this is when Mariah started chasing Slim Shady.
“When they called to introduce Mariah to Eminem, they said ‘he’s got this movie called 8 Mile and he wants her to be in the movie. So I go to Mariah and I say ‘look, Eminem wants to meet you…’ and she’s like ‘NO! I’m not getting up in that.’ I said ‘he got this movie…’ and she goes ‘what’s his number?'” said Damizza.
Then he continued: “So I call Em first and I’m like ‘look bro, we having some issues cause started to frazzle a little. It was tenuous. and I was like ‘don’t do this. I know where you are going with this, Christina Aguilera, all of this kind of stuff but don’t do this. I’m managing this girl, it’s gonna cause me a problem. Just do me this favor.’ And he’s like ‘no, I genuinely want her in the movie.’ and I’m like ‘okay, cool.'”
“So I get her on three-way, put him on the phone, and the first thing out of his mouth is ‘I want you to play my mother.’ Her insecurities kicked in big time! So then it was her chasing him. One day we are flying from New York to L.A. and she’s like ‘hey, we’re gonna stop off in Detroit. Next thing I know, we are at Eminem’s house in Detroit and they disappear. She was on him, at this point. Second thing, they went in his room, literally.” Damizza added. You can watch the interview below:
