Xzibit drops new album, featuring Dr. Dre, Royce Da 5’9″ & more Posted on May 17, 2025 By Remy Gelenidze Xzibit has made a triumphant return to the music scene with the release of his eighth studio album, Kingmaker, on May 16, 2025. This marks his first solo project in over a decade, following 2012’s Napalm. The album is released under Greenback Records, the label founded by MMA champion Conor McGregor .Xzibit describes Kingmaker as an album centered on energy and evolution. The lead single, “Play This At My Funeral,” serves as a reflective piece on his journey and legacy. Other singles include “Been A Long Time Pt. 2,” a sequel to his 2000 hit “Been A Long Time,” and “Shut Yo Mouth,” a gritty track featuring Compton AV and Butch Cassidy. The album features legends like Ice Cube, Redman, B-Real, Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre and Royce Da 5’9″. Royce is featured on a track called “Crash” which also features K.A.A.N. and is produced by Big Duke. Dr. Dre is featured on a song titled “Leave Me Alone,” which also features guest appearance from Ty Dolla $ign and is produced by Swizz Beats and Dr. Dre himself.You can stream the new album below.
