Expanded Mourner’s Edition of Eminem’s latest 12th solo studio album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” is finally here.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is the twelfth studio album by Detroit legend Eminem. It was released through Shady, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records on July 12, 2024. The concept album centers around a battle between Eminem himself and his Slim Shady alter ego. The album incorporates hardcore hip-hop, satirical hip-hop, and conscious hip-hop. It contains guest appearances from White Gold, Sly Pyper, Bizarre, JID, Dem Jointz, Ez Mil, Skylar Grey, Big Sean, BabyTron, and Jelly Roll. Production on the album was handled by Eminem himself, alongside Dem Jointz, Fredwreck, Cubeatz, Cole Bennett, and DJ Premier, as well as his close collaborators Dr. Dre, Mr. Porter, and Luis Resto, among others.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) topped the album charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It was supported by three singles: “Houdini”, “Tobey”, and “Somebody Save Me”. The album was met with mixed reviews. Critics praised Eminem’s rapping techniques while panning the lyrics. On September 10, Eminem posted a teaser trailer on social media for a deluxe edition of the album, titled “Expanded Mourner’s Edition”, set to release on Friday the 13th of the same month.
The tracklist of the expanded edition has appeared on Eminem’s official website couple of days ago, it included previous three bonus tracks “Kyrie & Luka” (with 2 Chainz) and “Like My S–t” (with FIFTEENAFTER) and “Steve Berman (skit)” and one new song “Fuel” (Shady Edition0, featuring Westside Boogie and GRIP.
