Eminem’s brother reacts to “Somebody Save Me” music video

Eminem and Jelly Roll joined forces for the first time on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)‘s album closer track titled “Somebody Save Me.” Just over a month later, the duo bring their vision to life with a poignant visuals, which arrived few hours ago.

Em is on the outside looking in watching his three children replay precious moments from their lives that he missed out on due to his demanding career and struggle with addiction. Home video footage of Hailie Jade playing the guitar at a recital, walking across the stage for graduation and blowing out birthday candles; Alaina’s graduation; Stevie opening presents; and brother Nate during the holidays play throughout the hard-hitting clip, bringing Eminem to his knees seeking forgiveness from above.

The Detroit legend lets his anger out on a sleeping version of himself before being lowered into a casket with his tearful family surrounding him. An extended portion of Hailie Jade’s guitar recital performance brings the emotional rollercoaster to a finish.

Aside showing love to his kids, Eminem shouts out his brother, Nathan Kane Mathers with the following lines: “wait, Nate, I should just congratulate you / On bein’ a dad to Carter and Liam, look at you / Little bro, sorry I left you / Sorry that I’ll never get to / Hold or hug my little nephews.”

After sharing the video snippet on his Instagram, Nathan Kane replied under the comment section, saying: “Nailed it Beautifully done Big Bro! We love you.” You can check the screenshot of the comment below:

Alaina says Eminem walked her down the aisle at her wedding

Alaina Scott, Eminem’s eldest daughter, wed her longtime lover Matt Moeller on June 9, 2023 in a “Great Gatsby glam” themed event and Eminem played a particular role in the wedding.

“I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn’t going to miss that.” Alaina told the People magazine in an exclusive interview.

Then she continued: “Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives. We did something super untraditional and didn’t allow many plus ones. This was important to us.”

“These are once-in-a-lifetime moments and I’m just so grateful to be loved the way I am by everyone. None of this would have been possible without my Dad. I’m beyond blessed.” she added.

At the reception, Eminem’s brother Nathan “Nate Kane” Mathers performed his song called “Slide on Over” which was “really fun,” according to Alaina.

Nathan Kane talks about being raised by his brother Eminem

During a conversation with Hailie Jade Mathers on Just A Little Shady podcast, Eminem‘s younger brother, Nathan Kane has shared what it was like growing up with the hip-hop icon, describing Eminem as “the best role model”.

He was the best role model I could have had to help me be the dad that I am today,” – Nathan Kane

He also recalled the earlier days of Eminem’s massive fame. “I started understanding a little more when reality would hit when I would start seeing Eminem on TV and going to shows and all the signatures and crazy people. I am like, ‘Alright, well, this is real’… A few years later, when I was able to leave from being under my mum’s care, I moved in with you guys.

Nate also said that seeing his brother’s success inspired him to start writing, too. “I had learned from your dad, my brother, how to do music and how to write formulas, compound syllables and tested it out in the beginning. From there, I started looking around for beats and whatnot and got comfortable enough with my voice and writing skills that I started recording and getting a feel for how I would deliver songs and how that would formulate to where people would enjoy it.

During the interview Nathan also recalled the times when he was trying to look like his brother and how he got tricked by his cousin to dye his eyebrows: “[Eminem] would get so many free clothes and buy clothes that I would just take some. I would take his hand-me-downs, his huge ‘fat Farm’ outfits and stuff that I thought would fit me. I was like 110 pounds that time and trying to wear 3XL, fit perfect! When I was 12, and went to your dad’s first show, my brother’s first show, my cousin John convinced me, going to his show, not only should I dye my hair that my brother also dyes his eyebrows. Being young I’m like ‘Oh really? I wanna dye my eyebrows too. Sounds like a perfect idea. I wanna look like twins.’ But it was not case. [Eminem] didn’t dye his eyebrows.
