Lil Tay responds Eminem’s “Killshot” namedrop 5 years later

Lil Tay has recently responded to Eminem’s namedrop on “Killshot,” a diss track towards Machine Gun Kelly that was released more than 5 years ago.

A month after the rapper and influencer’s family announced her death in a post on Instagram — which was deleted the following day — Tay shared a music video for her new song “Sucker 4 Green.”

To promote her new single, she did a Question & Answer session on her discord channel where she replied to some of her curious fans, including questions about Eminem.

“Outstreamed the rapper who dissed me too.” she said in one of the comments. “‘feel like I’m babysitting lil tay’ ooopsie, I wouldn’t give you the PLEASURE of being with me boooo” she said in another comment.

“Killshot” is a response to Machine Gun Kelly’s “RAP DEVIL,” which was in itself a response to “Not Alike” from Eminem’s August 2018 album Kamikaze.

In the song, Eminem raps: “Got more fans than you in your own city, lil’ kiddy, go play / Feel like I’m babysitting Lil Tay.”

This is a response to “Rap Devil,” where MGK says: “But you’re just a bully actin’ like a baby / So I gotta read you a nursery (nursery).” Eminem responds by comparing MGK to Lil Tay, a meme-persona not to be taken seriously.

Carmelo Hayes uses Eminem-inspired cover art to throw shots at Bron Breakker

Yesterday, Carmelo Hayes defeated Bron Breakker at Stand & Deliver to become WWE NXT champion for the first time ever. Before the competition, current NXT Champion hyped things with a brutal meme.

Eminem is a hip-hop icon, who influenced a generation after him. It seems that Carmelo Hayes is very familiar with Marshall Mather’s work, as the professional wrestler used one of Slim Shady’s single cover as inspiration to take shots at Bron Breakker.

Carmelo Hayes dropped an image that was inspired by Eminem’s “Killshot,” a diss-track towards Machine Gun Kelly. In the caption, he wrote: “Woke up today and chose to be undeniable.”

“Killshot” is Eminem’s response to MGK’s “RAP DEVIL,” which was in itself a response to Slim Shady’s “Not Alike” track from Kamikaze album. Marshall began targeting Machine Gun Kelly following inappropriate Twitter comments about his daughter Hailie Jade in 2012. According to the second part of the Sway interview, it was MGK’s subliminal disses during Power 106’s May 2017 “L.A. Leakers (Freestyle)” and Tech N9ne’s March 2018 track, “No Reason,” that inspired Eminem to fire back.

Coincidentally, Killshot is the name of a 2008 movie directed by John Madden, and filmed in Eminem’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan. For that reason, fan theories have suggested Eminem must have known about the film. The plot features main character Carmen Colson, who is targeted by an experienced, psychopathic hitman. Colson Baker is Machine Gun Kelly’s official government name.

Alexa Bliss raps Eminem’s “Killshot,” claims she recites it ‘at least 5 times a week’

Few days ago, professional wrestler Alexa Bliss, who is currently signed to WWE, shared a fun fact with Twitter.

The former-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion admitted that she raps along to Eminem’s “Killshot,” which is a diss song towards Machine Gun Kelly, very regularly: “Fun fact – I rap Eminem’s “Killshot” at least five times a week and if you know me, you know that it really may be more than that lol.” she wrote on Twitter.

To prove it, a fan shared a video which shows Bliss following along to the song while only occasionally looking at the lyrics: “Welp here’s the proof, thanks Twitter.” Alexa wrote before sharing a fan’s video.

She also admitted that she has nothing against MGK: “I also like MGK too! lol – I just love Eminem’s music always have and plus he always has great one liners that inspire me for promos.”
