50 Cent Donates $500 to 9 Non-profit Organizations, 2026

50 Cent donates $500,000 from Diddy documentary proceeds to charity

Posted on March 27, 2026 By Remy Gelenidze

On Monday, March 25, 50 Cent presented a substantial donation totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars to nine nonprofit organizations within the Shreveport/Bossier community. The local groups receiving support include the Gingerbread House, The Fountain’s Community Development Corporation (CDC), Families Helping Families Region 7, the Elle Foundation, Moms on a Mission, Best 13, the MLK Community Development Corporation (CDC), the MLK Neighborhood Association, and the Northwest Louisiana Youth Golf & Education Foundation.

50 Cent explained that the decision to give back was sparked by his Netflix documentary regarding domestic violence allegations involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. Reflecting on his commitment to the cause, Fif stated, “I said I would donate proceeds to domestic violence and to sexual assault victims, and I keep my word. I didn’t say where I would make the donations, and I like Shreveport.”

Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor noted that 50 Cent’s investment in the city goes beyond simple business interests, focusing instead on the well-being of its residents. “It is a commitment that he made when he chose Shreveport, Louisiana. It is nice for us to have economic development, but in that process, too, we need to make sure people are whole,” Taylor said.

Among the recipients, the Martin Luther King Jr. Neighborhood Association of Shreveport was awarded $30,000 to further its mission of assisting the elderly and improving public education and resources for local youth. Bennie Dotie, a representative for the organization, viewed the contribution as a pivotal moment for the community, saying, “I feel like it was God-sent because when he says all roads lead to Shreveport, that’s the reason for all roads lead to Shreveport.”
