Redman shows love to Eminem, D12, Royce Da 5’9, Proof and Trick Trick

Back in 2023, Funk Doc launched a series, “J@Q BOI BE@TZ.” In the collection of freestyles, Redman spits to classic beats on songs made famous by JAY-Z, Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick, Nas, Drake, Puff Daddy & The Family, and Busta Rhymes, among others.

This time, Reggie murders Eminem’s classic 1998 beat “Just Don’t Give a F–k,” which is produced by Bass Brothers, Denaun and Eminem himself. Redman even interpolates Eminem’s hook from the original song. The video of the freestyle is shot in Japan.

In the intro of the freestyle, the legendary East Coast rapper shows love to Detroit legends with the following lines: “Big up to to the Detroit n****z / D12, Eminem, Royce Da 5’9” Trick Trick… / This goes out to Proof, babe!”
