Jelly Roll brought out Detroit legend Eminem during his concert in — where else? — Detroit.
On Sunday, May 18, Slim Shady surprised the audience at Jelly and Post Malone’s concert at Ford Field part of their Big A– Stadium Tour.
At one point that evening, Jelly, began performing Eminem’s classic “Lose Yourself.” Then the Rap God himself took the stage for the final verse with Jelly for an electric performance of the 2002 Oscar and Grammy winning song.
“Detroit, what up?! Make some noise for Jelly Roll!” Eminem told the audience before exiting the stage. “Long time, no see. I love y’all. Peace!”
Following Eminem’s surprise appearance, Jelly said: “If you can’t tell, that was a childhood dream come f––ing true, Detroit. This is the greatest show I’ve ever had in my f––ing life.” He added that Slim Shady’s music helped him “through the darkest moments of my life.”
“Detroit thanks for showing my friend @jellyroll615 so much love!!! great to see y’all,” Eminem captioned their joint Instagram post on Monday, May 19. Jelly and Eminem previously collaborated for the 2024 song “Somebody Save Me” from Em’s 2024 LP titled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
