Rehearsal video of Eminem’s Rock Hall performance has surfaced online

On Saturday night, November 5, 2022, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2022 class in grand fashion. Inductees included Eminem, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Carly Simon and Lionel Richie. Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis also joined the Hall Of Fame with the “award for musical excellence.”

Longtime friend and collaborator, his mentor, the legendary producer Dr. Dre had the pleasure of inducting Slim Shady, recalling the first time Jimmy Iovine called to let him know that Eminem was a white guy. “That completely f—d me up. I knew that his gifts were undeniable. Each of us was what the other one needed — and I was willing to bet my entire career on it. He brought hip-hop to middle America.”

There was only one way to follow such a massive induction, and that was with an even fresher performance. Eminem delivered just that, ripping through hits like “My Name Is,” “Forever,” “Not Afraid,” “Stan,” “Sing For The Moment” and “Rap God” — while also featuring surprising guests from Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler to Ed Sheeran. The Alchemist was behind the board and Mr. Porter as a hypeman, as always.

After the performance, the time for Eminem’s speech came: “I’m not supposed to be here tonight. One, I’m a rapper; two, I almost died from an overdose; and three, I really had to fight my way through… I’m a high school drop-out with a hip-hop education.” said Eminem before listening more than one hundred hip-hop acts that influenced him through his spectacular career.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony aired on November 19, 2022 on HBO and today the rehearsal video with Ed Sheeran has surfaced online. You can check the never before seen video footage below:

LL Cool J & Eminem – Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame (Rehearsal)

For his highly anticipated Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, legendary hip-hop artist LL Cool J amped up the energy in Cleveland considerably, thanks to a career-spanning set which featured another icon from Detroit, Eminem.

LL started off his set with a banger, going into 1987’s “Go Cut Creator Go,” from “Bigger And Deffer” album.

After a bit of 1988’s “Going Back to Cali,” surprise guest Slim Shady nonchalantly walked onstage to perform “Rock the Bells” with his idol. LL and Eminem performed like they were in a rap battle, trading lyrics on the song with no-holds-barred ferocity.
