Eminem files opposition against “Reasonably Shady” podcast

According to the docs obtained by Page Six, On February 14, 2023 Eminem filed an opposition against Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon’s trademark application for “Reasonably Shady,” the name of their new podcast.

In the documents, the Detroit legend says he believes his brand will be “damaged” if the “Real Housewives of Potomac” stars are issued the trademark for their broadcast

He also said “Reasonably Shady” may “cause confusion in the minds of consumers,” who have known him by his alter ego Slim Shady or just Shady since the late ’90s.

Eminem has exclusively used the name “Slim Shady” and “Shady” for entertainment services since 1998 and owns the trademark for “Shady” to use on merchandise.

Slim Shady‘s objection came few weeks after Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon filed to trademark their podcast’s name, which garnered over 5 million downloads since 2021, with the intent to begin selling merch — such as lip gloss, water bottles, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, and socks.
