Chris Pratt says he spent years listening to Eminem & learning how to rap when he was young

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Pratt showcased his rapping skills and shared personal anecdotes.

The 45-year-old actor was promoting his upcoming Netflix film, The Electric State, set to release on March 14. In the interview, Pratt humorously discussed fatherhood, revealing that his youngest son, Ford, inherited what he described as a “long butt crack,” leading to challenges during diaper changes. He also recounted a childhood memory involving his father’s “plumber’s butt,” sharing how he and his brother would playfully drop sawdust and nails down their dad’s back without him noticing.

The conversation shifted when Kimmel brought up a viral video from 2014, where Pratt rapped Eminem’s verse from Dr. Dre’s “Forgot About Dre.” Pratt revealed that he spent two years in a van during which he smoked weed and listened to Eminem from ages 18 to 20, before he “found Jesus.” This period influenced his musical interests and showcased his rapping talent.

I spent like two years in the van smoking weed, listening to Eminem when I was 18 to 20, before I found Jesus, Jimmy. Other kids learned Biology at College and I was learning how to rap.” said Chris Pratt.
